My Top 5 Face Masks

By  |  3 Comments

I am obsessed with face masks. If there’s a new face mask in the market, I have to try it and it’s safe to say that I have tried a lot of masks available in the market by now! After a lot of trying and experimenting I do have a few favourites that I use on a frequent basis and make sure I don’t run out of these. But before I get to that, here’s a quick reminder on my skin type and concerns. I have an oily, acne prone, sensitive skin. I use face masks 2-3 times a week and based on my concern at that moment I use a mask accordingly.

Here are my top 5 face masks:

Himalaya Purifying Neem Pack

I love this mask, it is definitely my top favourite and I can’t imagine my life without it, no kidding! Thank god I found it here in an Indian store too phew! It works for all skin types and is super easy on the pocket. I use it to control breakouts, prevent pimples and to keep a check on excessive oil on my face. I love how my skin feels after applying this mask.

Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque

I personally love Kiehl’s as a brand and use a lot of their products, from cleansers, facial oils to mositurizers. When it comes to face mask, this is what I use especially while traveling. This works like an instant energizer for the skin and my skin does look radiant. It’s a perfect travel companion for me. Since the mask has cranberry seeds too for granules, it has a bit of scrubbing effect leaving the skin feeling smoother.

Sephora Green Tea Face Mask

This one’s perfect for my acne prone skin. The Sephora green tea mask has a soothing effect and it calms down my breakouts. It is what I usually use when my skin acts hormonal and I need to calm down those pimples.

Ahava Dead Sea Essentials Facial Mud Mask

This is one of my latest discovery. You’ll probably find it online on Nykaa or ebay as I picked it up from Ulta Store here. It’s a detoxification mask. I use it at least two times a month just to make sure my skin doesn’t look dull and looks bright and glowing. It also works perfect for summers with its cooling effect on the skin.

Sephora Algae Face Mask

Another detoxifying and skin purifying mask I use to keep my skin quality in check. These sheet masks are convenient to use and easy to carry when I am on short trips especially. Algae is supposed to be good for skin and I am not complaining as it does work good for me!

These masks work great for me and I have been using all of these for a while. I would surely suggest you guys to try it out and I hope they work for you as well. Just a small disclaimer, we all have different skin type, texture, concerns and our skin may not react the same way to same mask! So try it out, if it works then awesome and if not, then I hope you find something that works for you 🙂

All the masks listed above are available online (Nykaa/Amazon/eBay) and that’s where you’ll find their prices as well (I usually buy things in bulk so I don’t remember the prices). The instructions to use are also mentioned on each of these at the back of packaging! I usually use a face mask at night or when I know I am not going to go out or use any make up. I like to give my skin a rest for at least 10-12 hours after any face mask. There’s no particular reason but just how I do it.

Have a great week ahead!

Much Love,
