VLCC Skin Defense Range Review

By  |  0 Comments

In continuation of my review series for VLCC products, this is my forth post where I will be reviewing VLCC Skin Defense Face Wash and Scrub:

VLCC Skin Defense Melia Face Wash

The Melia face wash costs INR 140 for an 80 ml tube and is for normal to oily skin. The face wash mildly cleanses without excessively drying the skin. The face wash is supposed to offer protection against pimples and excessive sebum secretion leaving a fresh feeling. The back of the tube mentions that post using this face wash, VLCC Lavang moisturizer needs to be used but I tried the Lavang moisturizer recently and wasn’t a fan!

I used the face wash for around for a week. It has a mild fragrance, forms a foamy leather and is very gentle on skin. I used it twice a day for a week. It did take care of oil secretion and the greasy feel but I did have a one or two breakout that I usually do because of my long standing PCOS, maybe it’s little too mild for my hormonal skin. Overall it is a nice face wash for oily skin which is easy on the pocket and herbal!

VLCC Skin Defense Indian Berberry

The 80g tube is for INR 220, and claims to exfoliate, clean and refresh the skin for all skin types. The scrub is meant to be used twice a week. You need to apply it on your face and leave it for 3-5 minutes and then gently massage for another 3 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. I really liked the scrub! It’s grainy enough to exfoliate the dirt and impurities off the face. This also takes care of the blackheads to a good extent. The skin feels fresh and clean. I have had some of my friends too who have used it on a regular basis and have been happy with the result.

I liked the scrub more than the face wash, the face wash was bit mild for my skin but the scrub is really good. I think I’ll give the face wash a 3/5 and the scrub a 4/5 🙂

Hope you guys liked the post.

Much Love,
