For this look I am wearing a beautiful pink satin silk lehnga with zari and aari work embroidery. The same work is done on the choli, a brocade waist length choli with satin silk embroided sleeves, and the two tone duppatta. The colours are bright yet the overall look of the outfit is warm enough for a winter wedding.

This Ritu Kumar Bridal lehnga is perfect for ceremonies like Mehndi & Sangeet, or Lagan because of the colour yellow. As you’d know for Mehandi and Lagan, the bride-to-be has to wear something in yellow in most of our cultures. Further, this attire is perfect for even a wedding reception, for the brides who want to skip the usual colours such as reds and greens on their D-day.

Also, since the choli is of waist length, women who shy away from baring their midriff can also opt for something like this.

I love how the two tone dupatta and the choli have this pretty play of the yellow and peach, and pink inserts as borders. The outfit on a whole looks very timeless and easy to carry, just how I like my traditional outfits to be!

I had a great time shooting this look at Taj Krishna, a luxury 5 star hotel which is one of my favourite hotels here in Hyderabad. Besides the decor, aesthetics, great rooms, beautiful gardens and ball rooms, the food is good too! It’s also a perfect place to host weddings and wedding ceremonies.

The pictures are clicked by talented photographer, Abhinav Kodam. You can check out his Facebook page & Instagram profile to see his work.
