Lighting Up!

By  |  0 Comments

It’s Diwali time, perhaps the most awaited festival, at least for me. We deck up our houses, make sweets, get new clothes and deck ourselves up too! And not to forget the lights after all it’s the festival of lights. Diyas, candles, decorative lights and firecrackers, you just can’t beat the whole excitement and enthusiasm in air during the whole Diwali week.

Keeping up with the festive mood, I decided to do a Diwali look for the blog. I have fever right now, so I am going to keep this post tad short, kindly excuse the brevity.

Diwali is all about auspicious colours and traditional outfits. For the Diwali look I am wearing a Neha Agarwal ensemble. According to Neha Agarwal, Label Neha Agarwal quintessential mélange of historic influences & well defined innovative silhouettes. Personally, I love how she blends the modern elements from myriad of influences, beautifully. I think the label is a healthy mix of some young looking and some classic pieces and you’d surely find something that works for your taste.

Now coming back to the Diwali look, think I was bored of wearing the cliched traditional outfits like suits, sarees, lehangas that this Diwali I decided to try something fresh. For this particular look I wore a fully embroided (criss cross embroidery with some sequins) top with a bright coloured neoprene skirt. Let’s call it a top as it can worn as a crop top and a choli/blouse. The skirt has patchwork, with embroidery and sequinned details on the patches, plus high-low hemline. The whole outfit looks cheery, bright and fun, just how I like to keep it for Diwali.

I am love with the outfit!

For jewelry, I am wearing a pasa I got from Charminar Market. The ruby and pearls earring in gold are a gift from my mom, while the bangles are a street buy from Jaipur.

In case you’re wondering, here’s what the outfit looks like with lesser jewelry:

(Heels from Zara and MAC Men Love Mystery on lips. Also, don’t miss the crystal stone bindis on the corner of my eyes)

Hope you guys like this Diwali look, do share what you’re wearing this Diwali and if it’s something similar then tag me on your pictures on Instagram!

Have fun 🙂
