About Ananthagiri

If you have added me on Snapchat (id: pallaviruhail) you must have seen my snaps this weekend. I shared few pictures and videos of my short road trip to Ananthagiri.

Ananthagiri is a densely forested area located near Vikarabad and barely a one and half hour drive from Hyderabad (at least that’s the time we took to reach there). If you’re from Hyderabad, you’d probably know about Ananthagiri. People in Hyderabad usually go there to chill, while some even go to visit the Ananthagiri Temple.  There are couple of resorts and lodges, including by AP tourism as from what I have heard, for people who want to stay over for a night. I think a day is enough for it and since it’s pretty close to Hyderabad, you can always drive back 🙂

Nonetheless, there are no food joints or places to stop by for tea and snacks till you reach Ananthgiri so be prepared. We left around noon and I decided to pack some food because we wanted to have our meal at the view point instead of any restaurant (okay yeah, like a picnic!). We hadn’t planned this road trip, but the weather here in Hyderabad got so lovely that Shitiz suggested we go for a long drive and Ananthagiri seemed like a good option. Ananthagiri from Hyderabad is perfect for a romantic drive in a lovely weather if you ask me. We even saw few bikers and bicycle-groups on our way to Ananthagiri.

Here are few pictures (since it was an unplanned pic, pictures are clicked from phone camera):

We spent around half an hour there. Since it’s a pretty deserted area, unless there are other people like us too, safety could be concern right? But we did see a police patrol car so safety isn’t much a concern, however it is always best to be at your alert self 🙂

On our way back home, we decided to stop by at Deli 9 for quick snacking which opened up here recently.

We ordered a watermelon (virgin) mojito for me, banana smoothie for Shitiz and potato skins. My mojito was pretty nice and potato skins were good too, though Shitiz’s banana smoothie was not so great.

Hope you guys liked the post!

Much Love,
