L’Occitane Spa Review and Meet & Greet Moments

I have been really really busy off lately ! The blog, magazine, work and everything is keeping my hands, or actually all my limbs full phew!

I do enjoy it, but at times it can really be a stretch and you need a break. Thanks to Love of Spa, I did get my good break at Spa la Vie by L’Occitane, Hyderabad recently ๐Ÿ™‚

L’Occitane Spas are well spread across the country, from Kashmir to Amer, Manali to Pune, and of course Delhi and Bombay. They recently opened up in Hyderabad, their twelfth spa in the country.

Last to last weekend, I decided to make a trip to the spa. Perfectly placed in the middle of Apollo Life Center, safely away from the city rush, the location itself pretty much pleased me. I was welcomed by the Spa Manager, Vinod followed by which I was offered a pair of spa slippers and a welcome drink ! After I had my honey-lemon-ginger green tea (the welcome drink), Vinod gave me a tour of the place. Unlike most of the spas, the rooms here had bathtubs and private steam chambers present in every treatment room.

Besides just offering L’Occitane therapies, ranging from facials to massages, body treatments and wet treatments, for both men and women, they also offer Ayurvedic treatments. I spotted a VIP couple’s spa room too, definitely going back with Shitiz there soon ! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Salon is under construction and will be functional very soon, I think I can foresee my frequent visits once that opens up too, only thing it is like forty minutes drive from my place, sigh.

After the tour ended, I was settled in the lounge area and was asked to fill a personal and medical history form so that the treatment can be personalized accordingly for me (and they get extra brownie points from me just for that).

I chose the Relaxing Aromachologie Massage, which is a full body massage to ensure complete body relaxation, just what I needed. My masseuse, Lobilo took me to my treatment room and gave me spa robe to change to.

After I changed, she started with soaking and massaging my feet in scented cold water with rose petals, a ritual to begin with. And then my hour long body massage session followed. After an hour, all I know if I was smelling really good and was more than relaxed, just wanted to hit the bed ! She was good, I do frequent spas close to my place, like once in a month so I know how it works and should feel like. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and it was indeed very relaxing.

I was offered another cup of same green tea and I couldn’t help but say yes to it. It was a well spent Saturday for me.ย Needless to say that you do end up feeling rejuvenated in the luxurious settings as provided by the L’occitane Spa. I am glad that the Love of Spa team reached out to me for this and now I have a new place to escape to whenever I want or need !

As far as the prices are concerned, it’s almost the same as spas I frequent to near my place (Nirva & Hyatt), but it is definitely a value for money ๐Ÿ™‚

Spa la Vie L’Occitane also hosted a Meet & Greet with me this weekend for some of my blog readers here in Hyderabad. Before anything on it, I must say I was overwhelmed with the responses I got from people here in Hyderabad for it.

Due to capacity constraints, we had to keep the number restricted to not more than 20 (including me). After a thorough process of randomization, we did send out the invites but unfortunately the date of the event clashed with a Telugu festival, Ugadi, so few girls who did get the invite, couldn’t make it. Nonetheless, who ever came, I hope had fun ๐Ÿ™‚

To begin with, we had a Tea-Tasting Session for the readers sponsored by Blend of Tea, anย initiative to enable health, wisdom and mindfulness through tea. Subhorup Dasgupta from Blend of Tea took a detailed session on green teas, the types, flavours, procurement and more followed by tasting sessions. Then we had an interaction where we talked about fashion, beauty, make up and everything related.

Meanwhile, one by one, everyone was getting complementary massages done. Yay !!

At the end, there were some on-spot prizes and complementary gift vouchers for all who came. The entire session was supposed to be for two hours and actually lasted for three and a half, let’s just say everyone was having fun ๐Ÿ™‚
